Description:Checkpoint inhibitor–associated diabetes (CIADM) is an increasingly recognized immune-related adverse event. This webinar will review approaches to risk prediction and pre-treatment screening, strategies to distinguish CIADM from other causes of hyperglycemia, and emerging insights into underlying immunologic mechanisms, with a focus on implications for future prevention and patient care.
Learning Objectives
- Identify patients at increased risk for checkpoint inhibitor–associated diabetes (CIADM) and apply strategies for pre-treatment screening and risk stratification.
- Differentiate clinical phenotypes of CIADM from other causes of hyperglycemia in patients receiving checkpoint inhibitors, using key clinical and laboratory features.
