Description:
Transgender (trans) and gender-diverse people experience disproportionately high rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidality compared with cisgender populations, reflecting the cumulative impact of minority stress and social exclusion. Emerging evidence suggests that access to gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) is associated with improvements in psychological well-being and reductions in depressive symptoms and distress for many trans people.

This webinar will examine mental health outcomes in trans and gender-diverse adults, with a focus on suicide risk and major depression among trans people.
