Bio:Dr Luis Lam did Medical School at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, she came to the US as a post Doc research Fellow to work under Dr. Elise and Celso Gomez Sanchez at University of Mississippi Medical Center where she worked in primary Aldosteronism and Mineralocorticoid receptors action in brain and peripheral tissues doing basic research. She then did her Internal Medicine Residency and fellowship in Endocrinology in Brooklyn NY . Has been faculty at SUNY Downstate, and at University of PIttsburgh Medical Center. Currently she is a clinical associate professor of Medicine at the Meritus School of Osteopathic medicine, and at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine, and serves as Division Chief for the Division of Endocrinology at Meritus Medical Center, where she is also the inpatient diabetes Medical Director. She is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Obesity. Has been involved with the Endo Society since early on in her career, participating at the FLARE program in 2015 and then when transitioning her career, at the EXCEL program. She is involved in committees at the ENDO Society and most recent is part of the Special Program Commitee, as well as the nominating commitee, and Special Interest Group Early Career where is currently the chair. Her clinical interest is in Diabetes and Obesity, being awarded the title of Fellow for the Obesity Society in 2023.
