Bio:I am a physician scientist focused on understanding gestational and genetic determinants of obesity. This work will help us develop therapeutic or prevention strategies to address obesity in early life. My team is also studying the changes in pathways that improve with resolution of high risk of obesity, such as bariatric surgery or newer therapies across life span. We aim to decipher the heterogeneity in response, and the pathways underlying change in cardiometabolic state with treatment. Additionally, we wish to explore how these improvement impact the offspring of the individuals who received the treatment.
